Why we started

Franchise dealerships have had serious software for decades. Independent dealers — who make up a large share of used vehicle retail in the United States — have mostly been offered two options: enterprise platforms built for a business they do not run, or a patchwork of spreadsheets, listing sites, a website vendor, and a CRM that never quite agree with one another.

The cost of that patchwork is not the subscription fees. It is the hour a day spent re-entering the same car in four places, the gross figure that is wrong because reconditioning lives in a different sheet, the title nobody chased until the customer called, and the listing that still shows a vehicle sold last week.

Dealer OS exists to collapse that into one place, built for how independent dealers actually work: in the lot, on a phone, wearing several hats at once.

What we believe

   A vehicle, a customer, and a deal should exist once. Every reconciliation problem in a dealership starts with the same fact stored in two places.

   Priced so you can grow

   Per-seat pricing quietly discourages the exact behavior good software should encourage: everyone working in the system. So we do not charge for seats.

   Fast beats featureful

   Independent dealers do the same handful of things dozens of times a day. Removing a click matters more than adding a module.

   The paperwork is the product

   Titles, taxes, and deal jackets are where independent stores actually lose money. We treat them as core, not as an add-on.

   Your data is yours

   Export your inventory, customers, and deals in a standard format whenever you want. Lock-in is not a business model.
